The
greater part of DLM’s business involves the
design and production of products which are custom
made for the client’s particular application.
Such products may be single loadcells or large systems
based on loadcells. Many of them involve shear pin
loadcells , often with marine or subsea applications.
Typically,
DLM shear pin loadcells are manufactured to the
particular requirements of individual customers.
Appropriate line amplifiers may be hermetically
sealed inside the loadcell and a variety of connectors
or glanded cable outlets is available for general,
marine or subsea applications.
A
major function performed by DLM products is the
monitoring of the tension on wire ropes and cables,
particularly via running line and saddleback monitors.
These monitors may also measure the speed and /
or distance of the cable’s pay-out / return.
They are used in marine and terrestrial cable-laying
operations and in connection with a variety of winch
applications.
